Cancellation & Refund Policy

B612 Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to transparency and responsible stewardship of all contributions. Because donations and sponsorships directly support our charitable mission, refunds are limited and processed only in specific circumstances as outlined below.

1. One-Time Donations and Asteroid Sponsorships

• All donations, including $50 asteroid sponsorships, are considered final once processed.
• Refunds will only be issued in the case of a duplicate charge, processing error, or other verified mistake.
• Requests for correction must be made within 30 days of the transaction date.

2. Recurring Donations

• Recurring monthly or annual donations can be canceled at any time.
• Cancellation takes effect immediately and stops future charges.
• To cancel, use the “Manage Donations” link in your donation receipt, or email donate@b612foundation.org.
• Refunds will not be provided for donations already processed prior to cancellation.

3. Event or Campaign Contributions

Special campaign contributions (including limited-time fundraising events or donor circles) are also non-refundable, as they are allocated immediately toward program activities and mission support.

4. Processing Errors

If you believe an error has occurred in your transaction, please contact us immediately at donate@b612foundation.org. Verified errors will be corrected promptly, and refunds will be issued to the original payment method via Stripe.

5. Method and Timing of Refunds

• Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method.
• Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after approval, depending on the card issuer or bank.

2. Donation Options

• General Donations: You may give any amount as a one-time or recurring donation.
• Sponsorships: You may sponsor an asteroid discovery for $50 per asteroid.
• Donor Circles: Larger gifts qualify you for recognition levels such as the Asteroid Circle or Founding Circle.

3. Timing of Charges

Your card will be charged immediately at checkout or when you confirm your recurring donation. A confirmation email and receipt will be sent automatically.

4. Recurring Donations

You may modify or cancel recurring donations anytime using the “Manage Donations” link in your receipt or by contacting payments@b612fdn.org.

5. Refunds

All donations and sponsorships are final and non-refundable, except in the case of transaction errors or duplicate charges.

6. Tax Receipts
